SDD is the direct debit used across Europe.
There are two kinds. One is mainly for consumers. The other is only for firms.
In both, the payee takes the money from the account. The payer must agree first.
Definition
SDD stands for SEPA Direct Debit. The EPC has created two schemes for it: SDD Core, designed primarily for consumers, and SDD B2B, exclusively for businesses. In both, the biller requests the money from the payer with their prior approval.
