Line amount

In short and in plain language

The line amount is the sum for one line in an order or bill.

Mostly it is the number of items times the price. Discounts for this line are taken off.

All lines together give the total and the tax.

Definition
The line amount is the amount of a single line in an order or invoice. As a rule, it is quantity times price, adjusted by the allowances and charges of that line. In the order and the e-invoice, the sum of the line amounts is the basis for the total and the tax.
